God reveals in Scripture that He wants to call all people into a relationship with Himself. Originally created to have a relationship with God, humankind sinned against God, choosing to go their own way, and thus were separated from God. God sent His Son, Jesus, to bridge the gap for us and restore that broken relationship with God that our sin created. If you are ready to turn from your sin and begin a relationship with God, you are ready to start following Jesus. This is when we realize that Jesus is the forgiver and leader of our life.

Express Your Faith Through Baptism

If you have decided to make Jesus the forgiver and leader of your life, then your next step is to be baptized. Baptism is one of the first things Jesus asks us to do when we decide to follow him. It’s an unforgettable moment to celebrate with friends and family as you express your faith and begin a new relationship with God. The Apostle Paul described it like this, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life”
(Romans 6:4).
