Selecting Elders // LifeBridge Church

selectingelders
Elders at LifeBridge Church are the leading servants in the Church. They work together to fulfill three main areas of responsibility:
  • To guard the Church’s doctrine, unity, and overall mission.
  • To shepherd the Church’s partners through prayer, care, accountability, and discipline.
  • To discern God’s will for the Church’s overall direction.
Additionally, Elders also provide accountability for the Senior Pastor who is a permanent member of the Elders by virtue of his position. Elders serve three-year terms and may serve two terms consecutively.
Elder candidates are recommended by the LifeBridge Partners and go through an extensive vetting process to determine if the candidate is qualified. Qualified candidates then go through a training program. All Elder Candidates are approved and affirmed by the LifeBridge Partners before being ordained as a LifeBridge Elder.
All LifeBridge Partners are welcome to recommend Elder Candidates by completing this form: Elder Recommendation Form.

A Letter To My Younger Self // May Series

a letter squareRegardless of how young or old you are, you have had more than a few regrets in life. And knowing what you know now, if it was ever possible, you would go back in time and warn your younger self. Imagine all the time, money, stress, and most importantly the tears you would save! “Don’t go there!” “Avoid that guy!” “Bad investment.” “Start this.” “Stop that!” “Commit here.”
In this May series, we’ll take an in-depth look at King Solomon’s advice to his younger self from the book of Proverbs. And by following his words of wisdom, maybe we can avoid future regrets. Sundays at LifeBridge, 9:30 & 11:15 am.

Killin’ It // April Series

killinit square

There’s something that rises up in each of us. It keeps us from apologizing, admitting we’re wrong, or showing weakness. It keeps us from forgiving. It causes us to lie about our pasts, to cheat instead of lose, and to feel happy when someone else fails. It stands in the way not only of our relationships with other people, but our relationship with God.
What is this thing and how do we kill it? New April series at LifeBridge, 9:30am & 11:15am.

Compassion Sunday // April 24th

compsunsq
**Please be in prayer for the children and families in Ecuador following the earthquake. The area that was hardest hit is the area where Compassion does a lot of their work and where we have numerous sponsored children.
Compassion Sunday is coming!
April 24th will be a special Sunday for us as we highlight our partnership with Compassion International. LifeBridge sponsors dozens of kids all over the world, along with many of our partners who have chosen to personally sponsor a child.
This sponsorship can make a difference in the life of a child by not just taking care of their physical needs, but Compassion teaches them all about Jesus. They spread the Good News into the very ends of the earth. We are excited about this special Sunday!
