Wellspring Living // #makeitzero

imagesWe are joining Wellspring Living and their movement #makeitzero.

What is #makeitzero?

There are 100,000 children being sexually exploited – let’s MAKE IT ZERO

This is not just a global issue – it’s also a local one too! In the US, girls as young as 8 are being exploited for sex (the average age is just 14 years old). And, it’s happening in cities, towns and suburbs across the USA.

We don’t need another campaign, we need a movement from the ground up. This is a humanitarian issue that involves every American.

Let’s MAKE IT ZERO.

The dedication service provides you, the parent(s), with an opportunity to express publically your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so your child will develop a desire to love God and love others.

Our next Child Dedication will be held during our Sunday worship services on May 10CLICK HERE to sign up today or stop by our Welcome Center on Sunday morning. For additional information, please email Tara Sanders, tsanders@mylifebridgechurch.com.

Discussion Guide: Classless

witwscreenINTRODUCTION

We’ve all been picked on for something we had no control over. It’s dehumanizing. In all likelihood, you’ve also picked on others. It’s such a strange thing. It’s such a human thing. The easiest way to feel superior is to find a person or group we feel is inferior and power up. And we’ve probably all been guilty of that outwardly or inwardly. One of the reasons Jesus came into the world was to change all that.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. Think about the people you hung out with in high school. How did your association with that group benefit you? How did it influence the way you treated others?

  1. In what ways do adults label people? How does this impulse to attach labels to other human beings shape our culture?

Express Your Faith Through Baptism

baptismsIf you have decided to make Jesus the forgiver and leader of your life, then your next step is to be baptized. Baptism is one of the first things Jesus asks us to do when we decide to follow him.

It’s an unforgettable moment to celebrate with friends and family as you express Jesus > me. The Apostle Paul described it like this, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:4).

Discussion Guide: Easter

witwscreenINTRODUCTION

Isn’t it funny how two people can look at the same situation and come up with two completely different conclusions? Think about Easter. For some people, the Easter story is about the incredible truth of the most inclusive, welcoming, amazing message the world has ever known.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS

  1. Talk about a time when you misinterpreted an event or something someone said because your perspective was all wrong. What was the result of your misinterpretation?

  1. Read John 20:1-29. How would you describe the emotions of the different characters throughout this account?
  1. How would you describe Jesus’ interaction with those he is speaking with in this account?

  1. Which character in this version of the Easter story do you relate with the most? Why?

  1. In what ways does “the resurrection punctuate the meaning of the cross”?

  1. Why is the resurrection so foundational for Christ followers? How would you explain that to someone who doesn’t yet believe?

NEXT STEPS

The message of Jesus cannot be contained. It must be shared. That’s why we do what we do: bridge the gap from where people are to where God wants them to be.

CHANGING YOUR MIND

You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. Acts 3:15
